I have been teaching at various YTTCs since 2003. I like their format because they usually attract very dedicated and eager students and give everyone the valuable opportunity to practice and learn in a very focused and intense manner. To practice deeply in your own country for a while is fantastic.
My first teaching position in Teacher Training Programs was at Yoga Arts in Australia and Asia. At that time, their format comprised 1-month, 2-month and 9-month full-time courses (for the 200-hour and 500-hour certifications of the Yoga Alliance and for the Australian Certificate-4). I got my first opportunity to present in this way and to write fairly extensive manuals and other teaching materials for my subjects.
I have been part of the teaching team at INSPYA Yoga since 2005 (for both the 200-hour and 500-hour certification of the Yoga Alliance). We have been training teachers in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe for 16 years – now around 3000 of them.
I have been traveling to Germany every year since 2008 to teach. At first it was a bit unusual to teach in German as I trained in English most of the time, but I quickly found my feet in my native language and enjoy going back to my roots.
